POISED FOR GROWTH
& DEVELOPMENT
Internationally recognized as Nova Scotia’s premier working port in the Bay of Fundy region, the Port of Digby stands out as the most accessible deep-water, ice-free port in our maritime province. With a history spanning centuries, Digby has served as a vital and strategically positioned port, anchoring one of North America's most sustainable and profitable fisheries. Renowned for its world-famous scallop fishing fleet, Digby scallops are shipped globally and enjoyed fresh in our local restaurants.
The Port of Digby is also becoming a hub for other maritime activities, including the exploration of tidal energy potential, efficient transportation access to North American markets, and growing interest from the international marine travel industry.
The Digby Harbour Port Association (DHPA) is actively preparing for the increased activity and facility usage anticipated in the near future.
